Ohio is a historic city, founded in 1812 and named for the explorer Christopher Columbus. It became the state capital in 1816 and its economic prosperity is founded on this position plus it's major activities including education, insurance, healthcare and technology. It has an increasing role in international business and is now recognised as a global city.

Columbus is probably the fastest growing city in the Midwest in terms of both population and geography. It has pursued a policy of annexation in order to be sure that all parts of the city have the same standards of services. This has meant that growth is a matter of economic necessity, allowing Columbus to maintain a healthy economy, with good community links and services.

Columbus is therefore a good place to live and work. You may find that this city is so good to live in that you will want to carry on your career here. With a population of more than 1.7 million, and a very healthy economy, you will find that opportunities abound - and you will be in prime place to take advantage of them.
